Thailand is situated in Southeast Asia. The country shares its border with Myanmar in the west and north, Laos in the northeast, Cambodia in the east and Malaysia in the south. There are seven administrative regions: The North, Northeast, Central Plains, East, West, and the Bangkok Metropolitan Region. The northern part of the country is mainly mountainous. The eastern area is sandwiched between the sea and the Damrek range. The most popular beaches are located there. The peninsular south is good for tin mining, rubber cultivation, and fishing. As for the climate Thailand has three main seasons: hot, rainy and cool.
